Dimitra Petroulias

Ms Petroulias is currently employed at Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre as a senior education and training officer and prior to that as a research fellow research and treatment. She is part of the Vocational Education and Training, Graduate and Professional Development Programs. Her interests are in pharmacotherapy maintenance and workforce development. Projects within education and training have included the review of the Minimum Qualification Strategy for alcohol and drug workers, the development of online and face-to-face materials for vocational education and training as well as the development of online training for general practitioners to become prescibers in methadone and buprenorphine. Within the Forensic and Client Services area she was involved in the implementation and evaluation of the Youth Individual and Systems Interventions Program, Dual Diagnosis and Comprehensive Care Program and Bridging the Gap Program. Previous projects within research included the International Consortium on Buprenorphine and Pregnancy and the development of Youth Alcohol and Drug Outreach Guidelines. 

She has had over 15 years project and research experience and over 10 years in drug and alcohol at a number of organisations including the Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Custodial Medicine Unit, Victoria Police, Austin & Repatriation Medical Centre, The Private Hospitals Association of Victoria and CSIRO
