METRO AND REGIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR 2017

With an increased focus on providing a range of treatment approaches that include day rehabilitation programs for people facing difficulties with ice and other drugs, group skills have become a vital AOD worker requirement.

This skills-based and experiential 2-day workshop funded by the Department of Health and Human Services for those working in the alcohol and drug sector, aims to provide participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that will enable them to plan, manage and evaluate group work relevant to the AOD sector.

The facilitators

Sandra Roeg & Sharon Patterson have extensive educational and clinical experience and will facilitate the 2 day program.

Sharon
has had clinical experience in running therapeutic groups for a range of people with AOD problems in both residential and outpatient settings.

Sandra
has taught AOD skills in the Turning Point Graduate Program, as well as facilitated a range of therapeutic groups for people with AOD problems.
