New AOD Screening and Assessment Tool announced

Posted on: Friday, 01 March 2013

The development and use of a standardised screening and assessment tool was identified as one of the key immediate actions under the New Directions for alcohol and drug treatment services: A roadmap. The tool will form part of the recommissioning framework for the alcohol and other drug sector in Victoria and its core screening and assessment modules will be mandated for use under new Department of Health service agreements from 2014. Training to support the sector’s transition to the new tool is being rolled out between March and June this year, and will be delivered by Turning Point, Odyssey House and ReGen.

Details of workshops being run by Turning Point can be found here.

Final screening and assessment documents (including the clinician guide) can be found on the Victorian Department of Health website.
