20 Scholarships for Turning Point's Graduate Certificate in AOD Studies in 2017

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is offering 20 scholarships to workers within the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) sector in Victoria to undertake Turning Point’s Graduate Certificate in AOD Studies in 2017. Each scholarship is worth $4,800 which covers 80% of the total fee with students required to directly pay the remaining $1,200 during 2017. To be eligible for the scholarships applicants must: 

    • hold a relevant undergraduate degree.
    • be currently working as an AOD worker for a DHHS funded AOD agency in Victoria.
    • have worked in the AOD sector for at least two (2) years.
    • commit to attending approximately four (4) Community of Practice session in 2017 held at Turning Point, Fitzroy.
    • commit to completing the course in 2017 and paying the outstanding 20% fee ($1,200 in total) to Turning Point.
Please complete the Scholarship Expression of Interest Form and provide to student administration, Michelle Iannacone via email with a copy of your curriculum vitae and your 500 word statement of purpose by Wednesday 30th  November 2016.

Graduate Certificate in AOD Drug Studies

This course delivers an applied approach to AOD studies with online subjects including; Assessment, Treatment and Planning and Perspectives in Drug Use. Applicants require a bachelor degree. The graduate awards are received from Turning Point. Please note that 2017 will be the last year of admission for the current Graduate Certificate in AOD studies as we are restructuring our higher education programs. Master of Addictive Studies

The Master of Addictive Behaviours delivered through Monash University is suited to graduates who are seeking a course with a greater focus on academic career development or research. It provides a thorough exploration of the addiction area and the latest thinking and evidence from leading national and international researchers in the areas of neuroscience, policy, population health, prevention and treatment of alcohol and drug misuse, gambling and other process addictions. It is delivered entirely online. Applicants must have a bachelor degree in a relevant discipline as well as an honours year or equivalent and must apply through Monash University.
