REGISTER NOW – Drug & Alcohol Use and Pregnancy one day workshop

This one day training is designed for AOD workers and other health professionals seeking up to date information and support strategies in relation to drug and alcohol use and pregnancy. 

The workshop will provide an introduction to the Women’s Alcohol and Drug Service and discuss a broad range of issues associated with Drug & Alcohol use in pregnancy. There will be case discussions to illustrate complexities and level of support available.

Trainers: Theresa Lynch (Manager), Dr Yvonne Bonomo (Addiction Specialist), Mary Lazzaro (Midwife), Dr Tram Nguyen (CL Psychiatrist), Kerri Felemonow (Social Worker), Antoinette Amy (Psychologist), Julie Blandthorn (Research/Midwife) and Amelia Le (Dietician) Women’s Alcohol and Drug Service multidisciplinary team members

Women’s Alcohol and Drug Service is the only state-wide drug and alcohol service providing specialist clinical services to pregnant women with complex substance use dependence. They utilise a multidisciplinary team approach to advance their health and well-being and the medical needs of their infants. Support is further enhanced through the provision of secondary consultation, including a 24 hour on-call obstetric service.
