FAQS

a. How can I participate in the research?
All initial interviews are complete and our focus is on follow-up interviews with people that we have already spoken to. We do not need any more new participants.

b. Am I required to participate?
No. Participation is entirely voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any time.

c. Will I be reimbursed for taking part in an interview?
Yes. Participants that complete a follow-up interview will be compensated $45 for their time and contribution.

d. What does participation involve?
When you took part in an initial interview, you provided us with contact information so we could speak with you again.

When it is time for your follow-up interview, one of the project team will contact you by telephone and organise a time for the interview. It will be much the same as the initial interview, involving questions about your personal circumstances, your health and well-being, as well as your treatment experiences and expectations. The interview will be by telephone and it will take up to an hour.

e. Will clinicians have access to the information I provide?

No. The information provided during the interviews is confidential to the research team. Clinicians will not be present during the interviews and they will not have access to any of the information you provide.

f. When are the interviews taking place?
The follow-up interviews take place 12 months after we spoke with you. We will be in touch to organise a time for the interview.

g. What if I move?
If your contact details change we would like to hear from you, so we can make contact when it is time for the follow-up interview. Please contact Andrew Larner to let us know your new contact details. Email:    Andrew.larner@turningpoint.org.au
