SUBJECT/UNIT
SUMMARY:
Students
will undertake and complete a research project. The project
may be a systematic literature review, or data analysis (either
qualitative or quantitative) or an application for ethical
approval of a project. The kinds of projects may include:
prevalence and harms associated with drug use; audits of clinical
practice; review of new treatment interventions; surveys of
clinicians; review of harm reduction interventions; and secondary
data analysis of indices of harm and use.
This subject is an excellent opportunity to
engage with an applied research setting; and experience being
part of a research team. The project itself will be relevant
and of importance to the field.
A list of possible projects will be discussed
with the student and one project selected. A supervisor will
then be appointed, and will work closely with the student
on the project. There will be a minimum of weekly meetings
between student and supervisor.
