The Victorian Alcohol Statistics Handbook series

The Victorian Alcohol Statistics Handbook series presents some of the major findings regarding alcohol-related harm in Victoria. The handbooks are a valuable resource for government at all levels, the alcohol and drug sector, and the health field in Victoria, informing policy formulation, resource allocation, service planning and monitoring.

The information contained handbooks is derived from work conducted by the Turning Point EpiCentre under the umbrella of the Alcohol Epidemiology Project. This project has established key indicators of alcohol consumption and alcohol-related harm within the Victorian community.

Additional publications continue to be added to the series, each focusing on an important aspect of alcohol and alcohol-related harm.

Printed copies of these reports can be purchased from Turning Point (see order form for details) or downloaded free of charge from the links below.

Feedback on the series:

"As a Victoria Police Youth Resource Officer I quite often get called upon to find statistics and conduct presentations to community groups.

During one such situation recently, I did a presentation to year 10 students about Alcohol related Road Trauma and specifically to Bendigo and surrounding areas. Through my preliminary research I discovered the series "Victorian Alcohol Statistics Handbook" and found most of the information I required in an easy to understand format which I then in turn used during my presentation.

Thank you for making this information available electronically."
