Turning Point Speakers’
Bureau
Welcome
to the Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre Speakers’
Bureau - a program that provides informative talks and presentations
for community groups, secondary schools, tertiary institutions
and the corporate sector.
Alcohol
and other drugs can have an enormous impact on individuals,
families, and our community. Turning Point strives to promote
and maximise the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities
living with and affected by alcohol and other drug related
harms. Since being established in 1994, Turning Point has
led research and its translation into policy and practice
at local, national and international levels. The organisation
integrates activities across a diverse range of specialist
knowledge and professional practice, including research, health,
education and community services.
All
Turning Point speakers are experienced professionals who have
worked in the alcohol and drug sector for many years. They
include educators, trainers, researchers, doctors and nurses
who represent the breadth of work undertaken by Turning Point
to make a difference to those affected by alcohol and drug
related harms.
Presentations
cover a diverse range of topics and can be tailored to suit
any organisation with a small or large audience. Speakers
are available to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne
and country Victoria.
