Evaluation of the YOUthinc alcohol diversion program

Summary: This project aims to evaluate the YOUthinc underage alcohol diversion program, a pilot education program that utilises a diversion model providing referral pathways between the police and relevant agencies and young people under the age of 18 years who come to the attention of police through their use of alcohol.

Monitoring the implementation of combination buprenorphine-naloxone (suboxone)

Summary: In Victoria buprenorphine-naloxone (suboxone) is being introduced as an alternative to buprenorphine for limited takeaways (up to 5 days per week) or where there is a high risk of diversion in supervised treatment, and for unsupervised administration (minimal supervision regime) for a limited number of clients. Authorisation to prescribe suboxone on a minimal supervision regime (weekly) is limited to experienced practitioners who have completed a training program. This project will monitor the implementation of suboxone, assessing the effectiveness of this treatment in practice.
