Forensic client services
Forensic client services is a specialist service
at TP. The program assists people in addressing their
alcohol and drug issues by providing outreach support as well
as counselling and case management
depending on individual needs. The Forensic Client Service
Program predominantly work with individuals
mandated through the Criminal Justice system
Forensic client services utilises the following
approaches:
• Crisis intervention
• Outreach
• Case management
• Counselling
• Referral to other services
Specialist workers can assist you with:
Accommodation:
Referral and access to crisis accommodation for people remanded
in custody due to
a lack of fixed address. Information and supported referral
to longer term housing options and services
is also available.
Legal: Information
about rights and referral to advice and representation services.
Income support:
Access to Centrelink crisis payments, or advice on payment
options and arrangements.
Health: Information
and referral to drug treatment programs, general health care,
mental health services
and dental services.
Food and material aid:
Information and referral to services that provide meals, food
parcels, clothing
and furniture.
Support: Counselling,
information and referral to support groups and community services.
Eligibility:
· People who have pending court cases
· People who have been to court and received a community
based disposition
· People referred through ACSO COATS
