The presentation will describe broadly the presentations from ecstasy and related drugs to the Metropolitan Ambulance Service, and some of the issues facing paramedics attending to these events.

Andy will review the pathways into the Juvenile Justice system and present data from recent Australian studies. In particular, he will examine the associations between intensity of drug and alcohol use, dependence and crime.

Andy is a paediatrician and a trainee in addiction medicine, based at the Centre for Adolescent Health. He is completing a PhD examining health and risk behaviour in a population of young offenders.
