This in-person workshop is designed for those that work in the AOD sector and are new to the role of Intake and Assessment. It will focus on the recently refreshed Alcohol and other Drug Intake and Assessment documents with the aim of increasing the confidence and skills of workers.

Overview

This interactive workshop is both practical and skills based and will cover the following key areas:

  • understanding the role of the Intake
  • completion of Self Complete form as part of comprehensive assessment and review
  • completing a comprehensive assessment to ensure treatment needs are adequately assessed and recorded
  • identifying and assessing risk of family violence and how to respond in intake and assessment

Who should attend? Victorian Department of Health funded AOD workers new to the role of Intake and Assessment.
