Covid-19 Victoria Lockdown Services Update

In spite of the ongoing lockdown in Victoria we remain open and continue to provide our essential health services to our clients. However, in line with Department of Health recommendations we are conducting the majority of our services via telehealth in order to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission in the community. Face-to-face appointments will be offered only in exceptional circumstances with COVID-19 safe precautions implemented accordingly to ensure the safety of all involved.

If you have an appointment during this lockdown, your clinician will be in contact to confirm if there needs to be any change in your appointment arrangements. If this has not occurred, please contact our reception desks on the numbers below for assistance.

Turning Point Statewide Services (Richmond)

Clients will be informed by their treatment team whether the treatment will occur via telephone or face-to-face. Please inform your allocated clinician if you require a carer to be in attendance with you at your meeting prior to attending. If you are unsure about the status of your appointment please do not hesitate to contact the clinical reception desk on (03) 8413 8413 who will be able to assist you.

Turning Point Eastern Treatment Services (Box Hill)

The walk-in service at Carrington Rd, Box Hill is temporarily closed during this lockdown period. However, the service remains available via telehealth. Please call the intake team on 1800 778 278 during office hours to speak to an intake clinician about organising an appointment.

Admissions for detox and short stay rehabilitation are currently only available at Wellington House. 1 East detox services have been temporarily suspended as of Tuesday the 5th of October, whilst Turning Point and Eastern Health continue to support the COVID-19 response.

In line with the current level black state-wide COVID-19 risk level rating, we are taking proactive steps to reduce any risk of COVID-19 transmission at Wellington House. Each person entering Wellington House will be temperature checked, requested to complete a COVID-19 symptom and exposure site questionnaire and offered a COVID-19 swab upon admission. Please be assured that this heightened level of screening is being conducted only to ensure that all our clients are admitted to a COVID-19 safe environment.

Should you have any concerns about these changes to our admission processes please do not hesitate to contact our ward on 9895 4939 & select 2 or 3 to speak to a member of our staff.

Please be advised that wearing of masks and complying to temperature checks are mandatory when attending any of our sites for a face-to-face appointment. All clients are advised NOT to attend to any site if they are experiencing Covid-19 related symptoms.
