Senior Education and Training Officer, Turning Point

Overview

Sharon's role at Turning Point is to develop and deliver education and training to GPs, nurses and midwives and the AOD workforce. Sharon has also been a unit coordinator and teacher in both the Turning Point Post Graduate Program and Monash University Master of Addictive Behaviours.

More recently, Sharon's focus has been working in collaboration with the Australian Nursing and Midwife Foundation (ANMF) (Vic branch) to provide AOD education programs to Nurses and Midwives throughout Victoria.

Qualifications

Sharon holds a BA Social Sciences, Certificate of Psychiatric Nursing and a Pot Graduate Diploma in Health Education.

Her work in the AOD sector spans over 30 years as both a nurse and an educator. While the development and delivery of AOD services is always shifting, the one constant is the dedication of clinicians who genuinely strive to provide care for the people they work with.
