Overview

Annette is a Research Fellow in Turning Point’s Telephone and Online Services.. Annette’s role includes overseeing research and evaluation activities in online and telephone services for anyone affected by alcohol and other drugs, or gambling.

Background

Annette holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (LaTrobe University), Master of Health Science (University of South Australia), and PhD (Monash University). Annette’s work experience is as an occupational therapist in sub-acute and vocational rehabilitation, a service delivery manager in disability employment services, and as a lecturer in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Monash University.

Research interests

Annette’s doctoral research focused on the experience of care for people living with multiple chronic conditions, and their health care professionals, particularly from the perspective of person-centred care and access to care. This health services research focus, combined with Annette’s clinical and management experience, offers a unique perspective on the experiences of people seeking help for their alcohol and other drug, or gambling addiction.
