Through the Monash Addiction Research Centre (MARC), Turning Point draws on the expertise of world-leading researchers to conduct evidence-based research that transforms addiction science, practice and policy, as well as ensuring that the training of future clinicians and researchers in the alcohol and other drug (AOD) sector is of the highest quality.

SHARC

The Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC) works closely with Turning Point to promote self-help approaches to recovery from severe alcohol and drug related issues. As seen in the documentary, SHARC runs Family and Friends Support Groups, which give people the opportunity to connect with others who are going through similar experiences. The sessions provide practical help, information and support to families and friends impacted by someone’s drug and alcohol use.
