Turning Point are collaborating on a documentary series with award winning television production company Blackfella Films, the producers of paradigm shifting programs including Filthy Rich & Homeless and How ‘Mad’ Are You?

They are looking for people who are currently living with problem gambling, alcohol or drug use to take part in a special treatment program.

This three-part series for SBS Television will utilise a six-month treatment model, designed by Turning Point. It will follow the lives of a group of Australians as they work towards their goals.

The model of care will involve best practice treatment, individual and group therapy and support, family counselling and residential care as required.

The primary aims of the documentary are to highlight the issues faced by those living with problem gambling, alcohol or drug use, to reduce stigma and crucially to encourage people to seek help earlier.

Those wishing to be considered to take part are required to undergo detailed assessment and screening appointments and must live within approximately one hour of Melbourne.
