Finding solutions. Making a difference.
Since its beginnings as Victoria’s centre of excellence in addiction treatment two decades ago, Turning Point has grown to become Australia’s leading national addiction treatment, education and research centre. Our work transforms lives, with more than 100,000 Australians seeking support from our highly skilled clinicians every year. But that’s not all we do. Our research and health surveillance teams inform new cutting-edge treatments and shape health and social policy. Through our workforce training and education team, we equip frontline staff to have the skills and the confidence to respond. And the response is clear, addiction is treatable and we have solutions that work.
Our Future Directions
Turning Point recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, which provided a powerful opportunity for all of our staff to reflect on their work by contributing to our Impact report.
But we know there’s so much more to do.
Over the next 30 years, we want to continue to achieve our mission - transforming lives through innovation, education and compassionate care - but we know we can't do it alone.
That’s why our new Future Directions are designed around a single theme - collaborating for change.
We plan to continue to work together, both internally and externally, to address four priority areas - strengthening addiction treatment and support; building and communicating evidence for impact; inspiring hearts and mind; and empowering our people.
Achieving our vision - a society free from the harm, discrimination and stigma of addiction - is everyone’s business.
