A/Prof Schliephake has been promoted to Level D, Associate Professor (Education-Focused)
A/Prof Schliephake is the Course Director of the Master of Addictive Behaviours and Director of Education at Eastern Health Clinical School, Monash University.
Her work bridges research, education and practice to empower future health professionals and drive meaningful sector change.
“This promotion represents a significant milestone for me, both personally and professionally,” A/Prof Schliephake said.
“I’m incredibly proud to continue advancing the field and inspiring future change-makers in addiction and mental health.”
According to A/Prof Schliephake, this recognition of her commitment to transformative education in the addiction sciences is a powerful affirmation of the impact that student-centred, equity-driven learning can have.
Head of Research and Workforce Development Professor Victoria Manning said, “We are extremely fortunate to have A/Prof Schliephake in this role, and this promotion is a well-deserved recognition for her expertise in transformative health education, online learning design and authentic and programmatic assessment approaches”.
A/Prof Schliephake expressed her gratitude to colleagues at Turning Point and Monash University, especially the educators, researchers, students, and lived experience advocates who have inspired and supported her journey.
“I extend heartfelt thanks to Emeritus Professor Marilyn Baird, whose mentorship and guidance have profoundly shaped my professional identity within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences,” A/Prof Schliephake said.
“Finally, I want to thank my family for their love, patience and strength through every high and low along the way,” she said.
